Ron Robinson

Ron is a results-driven Procurement Executive with over 30 years of global procurement and supply chain experience, 20+ years leading global procurement teams with numerous companies across the automotive, cabinet, and HVAC industries. He has extensive experience with supplier negotiations, data analytics, global strategy creation and execution, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation activities.

Ron previously spent 5 years at Rheem Manufacturing, a market leader in heating/cooling, serving as Director, Global Procurement. He managed a global team of Direct and Indirect Material professionals with an annual spend exceeding $1.5 Billion, while supporting 18 facilities worldwide and managing thousands of suppliers. Cost savings exceeded tens of millions of dollars each year by leveraging business opportunities, negotiating long-term agreements, conducting value analysis/value engineering activities, and through negotiations based on competitive and market analyses.

Prior to Rheem, Ron spent most of his career as Director, Global Procurement at Harman International, a leading manufacturer of high end audio products for use in automotive, consumer, and professional products. He was promoted several times during his tenure, leading global teams on both the Direct and Indirect Material categories. He was instrumental in creating and developing the global Indirect Procurement organization. Ron then led the North American and Asian MRO and Services team, created standard catalogs with punchout capabilities, and drove savings in the millions throughout the process.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing degree from Michigan State University.
